Sumter County Active Lifestyles (SCAL) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization, registered in the state of South Carolina.* Our purpose is to support policies that promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles and make it easier for Sumter County (South Carolina) residents to be physically active.

Our Priorities:

• Promote a bicycle-friendly community
• Promote a pedestrian-friendly community environment
• Promote an overall active community environment
• Expand outreach to underserved areas to address disparities in supports for physical activity
• Maintain community education activities and general advocacy efforts

Our membership is composed of concerned citizens and representatives from city and county government agencies, local businesses, health care & fitness, the arts, law enforcement, the military, schools, other nonprofit organizations and neighborhood associations.  All of us are committed to making Sumter County a great place to be physically active.
